And I learned that for a bike to 'convert' well, the forks need to have indentations for 'safety' to keep the shafts on better. ### ⭐ Have been a good working replacement for my NorthRock XC27 *by D***D on March 21, 2026* I had my rear wheel replaced at my local bike shop last september. In January, the axle broke. It was a $100 replacement wheel for a $350 bike so I wasn't expecting much. I found out that this wheel had many loose spokes. I bought this replacement axle to get the wheel back in action and I trued the wheel to get it straightened out. It's been almost two months with no change in my riding style and it's been holding up. If the axle breaks, I'll update the review. Update: It's like I jynxed it. It broke 3 days later. Don't bother with Amazon for bike parts.
