Back healer
This chair is amazing. Super comfortable and keeps my back aligned through the entire work day. Bought a second one.

Fantastic Back Legitimately Frustrating Seat
This chair was supposed to be the one. The back is the best I’ve used & I’ve used all the premium competitors at this point. The seat though, is anger inducing if you’re taller. You’ll have to extend the seat depth, & you’ll get a very large seat gap. When you sit in the chair you’ll just be sitting on the back edge of the seat, horrible…If the chair was longer & better implemented for adjustments it’d be the chair to get. It’s ironic cause the back is higher which is good for tall people but the chair seems almost certainly for shorter lighter folks. Honestly disappointed with this one..

Great chair
After having it, the struggle to find the best chair is over. It’s everything I’ve been looking for and I love it, came fully assembled, lumbar support is absolutely great. It’s comfortable, armrest is fully adjustable.

Perfect after some modifications
My DXRacer chair broke after 8 years so I figured this would be a nice upgrade. However, I have been using a headrest for years and couldn’t sit comfortably on this chair. Until I got the headrest from Atlas Headrest, then it’s so much better. Another issue I was having was the gap between the back and the seat. I’m 6 feet tall and have to move the seat all the way out resulting in the huge gap in the back, which made me feel like I was falling off in the back. I put an old headrest from my old chair in the gap so I can’t feel the gap anymore. Other than these two things, the chair is perfect. Very very comfortable. The seat was kind of hard at first, but softened significantly after a week.

Back is amazing but the seat is horrible
My Herman Miller Embody chair doesn't have enough lumbar support for me and I would like it to recline further. I went through several alternatives including the Destrier and now the Fern. The back and lumbar support of the Fern are amazing, it's like laying back on a cloud. The adjustable recline tension works well and adding the Atlas headrest is a must. The main problem is the seat and it's cushion. I weigh 190lbs and it feels like I am bottoming out the cushion. My butt bones ache after sitting in the Fern for even 30 min and it's hot - so very hot compared to the Embody. I ordered the Purple Royal Seat Cushion to see if it helps at all and will update after trying it, but this is ridiculous.Honestly I can't believe I paid this much for a chair with such a pathetic seat cushion - which if you slide it forward at all, you will easily feel the gap between the back and the seat. The Embody seat is amazing on your rear, but as I mentioned I wanted better lumbar support. I can't believe that as cushioned as the back is on the Fern that they would not do something similar for the seat, and instead put in such a poor piece of foam. Unfortunately, I'm trading back pain from the Embody for butt pain if I keep the Fern.

Great value for a high-end, unique, ergonomic office chair!
As a dedicated work-from-home professional, I spend 8-12 hours daily in my office chair. At 6' tall, 150 lbs, with long arms and an appreciation for ergonomics, a comfortable and supportive chair is paramount. After a decade with a basic, sub-$200 chair from Costco, I upgraded to a Herman Miller Embody five months ago—a chair I still adore. Now, thanks to the Amazon Vine program, I've had the opportunity to rigorously test the Haworth Fern.Let me be clear: The Haworth Fern is an amazing, high-end, and very adjustable chair. It's meticulously crafted with premium materials and boasts an impressive 12-year warranty. If you're in the market for a top-tier office chair, I highly recommend exploring the many in-depth video reviews available online to fully appreciate its capabilities. Here are my firsthand impressions after using the Haworth Fern for several days. The chair arrived fully assembled in a massive box, but it was lighter than the Embody and much easier to carry upstairs. Haworth's online setup and adjustment video was incredibly helpful for fine-tuning my seating position. The 4D adjustable armrests are fantastic. As someone with long arms, I need them to lower enough for relaxed shoulders and a 90-degree elbow bend, and the Fern delivers! While they slide around a bit, this is a minor trade-off for their overall versatility. They're especially useful when I'm just reading or using my iPad. (For comparison, the Embody's armrests are slightly larger and squishier, but offer fewer adjustments. Both are a premium material.)The Fern's back is exceptional. Even without the added lumbar support, it provides great overall support and flexes with you. While I'm used to more aggressive lumbar support, my entire back feels cradled and supported regardless of my movement. It's similar to the Embody's exoskeleton design, but the Fern's is more flexible, lighter, and features a softer, more padded 3D quilted texture. Adjusting the recline tension and limit is straightforward, though not something I change often. The seat is a traditional memory foam design that offers excellent support, and you can easily slide it in and out to fine-tune lumbar positioning. I have a slight preference for the Embody's seat, but that's likely due to familiarity. The casters and base roll smoothly and look good. While the Herman Miller base has a bit more flair, you'd only notice it side-by-side. The Fern, despite its distinct back, has a more traditional appearance than the Embody.Overall Conclusion: The Haworth Fern is a truly great chair. I consider it a better value than my Herman Miller Embody, but at this price point, it really comes down to which specific features matter most to your individual needs. Neither chair will disapoint!

Feels cheap, armrest arrived broken. Adjustments lacking.
I'm 6'4. The seat barely goes out to my mid thigh, im still very much lacking in leg support. The height adjustment on the lumbar support only goes up halfway, which ends up being between my tailbone and lower back, and is quite uncomfortable. If it could adjust just one or two more spots higher, I'd love this chair and want a replacement, not a refund.Unfortunately the armrests are a dealbreaker. The left one arrived broken. They creak way too much. The $350 gamer chair this replaced had better armrests. And it had better back ergonomics for someone my size.to Haworth: build better armrests, make the lumbar adjustment more adjustable, and charge more, and you'd be a market leader.
