The wrinkles are very rustic and vintage looking and do not make it look like you have a messy bed. The material is extremely soft and very comfortable and washes wonderfully! The material is thin, but I’ve had no issues and I have a rambunctious dog and a fat clumsy cat that jump on and off of it all day and so far so good! It does have ties in the corners to secure your duvet insert and it seems like it has more material than what you need for whatever size you buy.I have a queen bed and originally did buy a queen. At no fault of the duvets, I ended buying a king size as well. I just wanted more blanket! 😁 I kept the queen for guests though. The king’s pillow cases are very long and narrow (I guess that’s normal?) so I ended up keeping the queen ones on my bed.I don’t get overly hot or cold with this either, and I’m a hot sleeper. It creates the perfect temperature cacoon every single time I go to sleep. As I hold the cover in my lap and look at the photo on line, the one in hand does not have a visible "pleating" or "wrinkled" look. Otherwise it seems to be as advertised.
