If you are into organic hair care, go to someone who has organic tints in their salon. The money will be worth it. After you lighten it professionally, then you can use a box tint to keep the colour up. But I would not recommend this one as it really messed up my hair. Do not use this on dark hair, it will not do the job or possibly turn it a garish reddish colour. If you go to a salon to lighten first, you will not have any regrets.
