This portable monitor sleeve is exactly what I had in mind, however it's tough to find one with a good fit for a bulky gaming laptop or one with a weird shape. I got the 16.1-inch version and tried it with 2 laptops: [Asus G513QY] Fits comfortably, however the top flap won't close all the way, it needs a few more millimeters for the velcro to touch. You can simply glue on an extra bit of velcro or just ignore it, it folds over enough to store just fine. [Alienware X16 R2] Fits snugly, but this laptop has a lot more protruding booty than most other laptops so the top flap definitely won't close without adding extra velcro. I suggest getting the next size up for this one. It may have some extra space to the sides but at least it'll close better. I'm not surprised the sleeve is a bit too small for these, but it works well enough for the first one at least. And it definitely beats wrapping them in an old shirt.
