Worked Great, Nice and Bright, then Decided to Go Super Nova...

*by H***8 on Reviewed in the United States on October 10, 2018*

In other words, it blew up in the projector. Sadly.I reviewed several items and decided upon this one. Pretty much matched the OG Lamp I had with the Projector. That lamp lasted around 4300-4500+/- hours, which was past its prime. The lamp I receive matched the one I previously had, and fit the Projector Lamp House with out issue. Installed the new Lamp, Reset the hours on it, allowed it to run for a few minutes, then powered off the projector, allowed a minute or two for the projector to full go off, then powered it back on. During the time I had it on the first time I noticed the Red Light for the Lamp was flashing, after powering it off as stated above it went. Made a few changes to the settings of the projector, being it was brighter now with the new bulb.I previously cleaned the projector, airing it out with the air compressor, and made sure the fans were all running fine prior to installing the new lamp. Keeping in mind I did read a few other lamps blew because of the heat. I've requested a refund/exchange, and might get the same bulb/brand again, Although, it might happen again, then again it could have been just one of those 1 in 10,000 that happened to just be faulty, one never knows.I am also going to look at the air flow and make sure the fans are all running properly. I will insert the old Lamp (which doesn't work), to see the how the air flow/ventilation is. I checked it while the new one was in and it seems to be pushing the air through at a good rate.1st of maybe 2, once I receive the new lamp (if I get it from here again). I will follow up if I do with a new review.I gave the Item 3 Stars, cause when it worked, it worked well.Note for Photos: First two are of the original (already out, 4300+ hours), Then the projector where the lamp goes, and the others are of the exploded lamp. The last one, is a photo of the new lamp, Please Note that I have my Living Room Window open allowing the light in. I will see about doing a new photo with a Closed Curtains shot or night shot. I am also not one that Must have the perfect setting, during the day watching Sports or a few other shows are fine with us for this.

    Overheats causing shutdown

*by P***K on Reviewed in the United States on August 4, 2017*

Overheats causing the projector to turn shut down. I changed it to high altitude mode as recommended by another reviewer on here and it seems to have solved the problem. I'm worried with it overheating that it will eventually blow up and cause damage to the projector. I will probably switch back to the original bulb with 2000+ hours on it. FYI when I put the new bulb in the picture quality stayed the same. Not that I was expecting it to be different, I would have gave it 5 stars if it wasn't for it overheating.

    Perfect Fit

*by L***P on Reviewed in the United States on August 13, 2017*

Fit my ViewSonic PJD5523w perfectly and stopped the flicker I was getting from my original bulb with 1,200 hours on it. I swapped the glass filter with the one from my original unit after reading that some units overheat with the third party bulb housing. I am not sure if that is the case for this unit but to be on the safe side it was only one screw and quick. I did not detect any change in color from the new bulb.
