Review: Nice gauge for shop, garage, and barn equipment work. - I'm using this to test/diagnose the internal hydraulics on my old Massey Ferguson 135 tractor that doesn't generate the three point hitch lifting force it should. This seems like a good durable gauge. I specifically like the armor boot around it as it has already protected the gauge from a few light dings and scratches. I have no way to test the accuracy of the gauge other than to take it to a calibration house or to someone with a certified gauge that I can compare a reading to. Therefor for now I will take it on faith that the manufacturer has tested and certified their design of not each gauge and that it is accurate out of the box. I also like that this came with two adapters making it fully functional fight out of the box regardless of the port that it is to be installed in. No need to make an extra trip to get extra fittings. I had no leaks when I first tested the tractor but my tractor was not able to provide full pressure to the test port.

The bushings included came in handy and worked perfectly. The gauge shows 21.5 inches HG at 7250’ elevation. Maximum achievable vacuum at this elevation is 23.1 inches HG. I would say that is pretty accurate using a small vacuum chamber. The gauge is just reflecting the capability of my vacuum pump. It arrived with 5 inches HG as a result of pressure differential from California. I simply had to lift the small black plug on top slightly to allow it to equalize. DO NOT cut the tip of the plug. If you do, the glycerin will leak out of the gauge. This gauge is a bit larger than my old one and easier to read. I don’t really need to know the exact inches of HG for my application. I only need to know that I have a good seal in my chamber. This gauge does that very well. I would buy this again.
