No puff. *by D***K on February 16, 2026* I managed to buy a large box of Fray Bentos canned pies years ago during restricted meats from UK and they always puffed up high like a French Souflle way above edge with layers of crust. Had proper taste of kidney most avoid like lamb as gamey due to ignorance. The 1st I cooked came out flat here (pix) in a toaster oven on convection heat. Very little taste & no classic kidney flavor hoping for here. There was no 33% more meat label as shown on can ad. I just fear they succumbed to useless food engineering guys with PhDs that ruin classic formulas to shave pennies for profit and destroy famous brands. Instead of good product promotion companies resort to them and ruin great products. These useless nuts tried to mess with SPAM by adding potato starch but the public fought back and saved it. They ruined, by watering down Heath Bars with filler, which used to taste like a thicker version real toffee Skor bar now. Fire um all!!
