You can’t use it right away. It wanted to curl, so I had to have it curl down for a week before it flattened out. It also has a scent from being in a plastic bag for so long. We have had spills on this mat and it is so easy to clean we legit were able to use a wipe and a paper towel and handle a sticky juice mess. This mat is incredibly well made, durable and has such a cute design that my kids actually want to play with it! We have done animal parades down these streets and raced cars on them. Oh and it's double sided so you can change up the scenery for your kids, too!! Would definitely recommend for little ones.
