The waistband is really, really tiny but also really, really stretchy! So these drape well over the hips and are not too tight in the waist.As far as the length, I'd love another 2-3 inches because I'm short-waisted. Anything I wear that has an elastic waist will automatically go to the smallest part of my waist which, sadly, is right beneath my bra. So it looks weird if I don't have a top laying over the waist, but that also makes these pretty short and I'm only 5 ft 4. The knit material is a nice weight , I don't believe see thru , the black is nice, and the length is perfect for my 5'8" in a 1-2" heeled sandal, I don't like my ankles to show. The legs are wide ( flat 11", circumference 22") but not the flowing large palazzo style ,becoming popular again, that can trip you up. When taken out of the bag they looked small. But when I put them on ...wow. They are very comfortable and fit me perfect. I am 5'7 and140 so I ordered a large. The length was perfect for me as I wear sandals and flats. Heels may bring up the length so just note that if you do. And the wide leg was not overwhelming. More of a wide straight leg pant. They are lightweight to medium weight. So you can wear them until mid fall maybe late. As they are relaxed fit you can dress them up or down. I ordered purple and red. The purple was a vibrant dark shade. And the red is bright red. Hard to find a match if you go monotone but with a patterned shirt it looks good. Ordered another two. One in black and camel. They all fit the same. And I do like the pockets. Not a dress pant but very well fitting for what I wanted. I didn't give 5 stars because I haven't washed them yet. And am hoping that they hold their shape and come out with few wrinkles. Not super high quality but certainly a well priced value for your money.
