Daylight bulbs or around 5000 degrees tend to be more like arc welding. Bright white or around 3000 degrees is in the middle. **Q: These say "not rated for use in enclosed fixtures" does that mean they can't go in a ceiling fixture in a bedroom?** A: If your ceiling fixture has a flat "lampshade" type thing on the underside that you need to remove to replace the bulb, then that means this bulb (at least the A21 version) can't go inside. The BR30 version can go inside something like that though. **Q: Is this UV free?** A: I can't speak specifically to this LED bulb but, most plastics block common types of UV.
