The red bean paste in the middle provides the sweetness, but not in a cloying way. One makes a great snack. Get Chef Mike to heat you up three of them (30 seconds on high separated; not stacked) put a dab of butter on two of them, stack and pour a little syrup over them. Or, if you're adventurous, use a little Mike's Hot Honey. Then a scoop of vanilla ice cream. Voila!

The taste was alright but it tastes dry even when I microwave them. I rated it 4 stars since I just pair it with tea or coffee and it's pretty great.
