Review: Good cake bag - Everything I expected
Review: FOUR YEARS LATER still in good shape!! - I had to add another review of the Ateco Pastry bag, I initially reviewed 4 years ago after my first purchase of the 18" bag. I trust the Ateco name as I bake professionally and this is what I use at work. I don't bake at home year round, just mostly during the whole month of December, that is when this pastry bag is put to the test! It is flexible enough for me to handle easily, not too stiff, but obviously it is sturdy enough to be durable. The two main items that I use this for, is meringue to pipe out meringue mushrooms, and buttercream frosting for cupcakes. If you are familiar with baking you will acknowledge that those are 2 very different formulas that don't work well together :D meaning that with a meringue, your bag, your bowl, your utensils have to be completely grease-free. And a buttercream is, well, buttery! This bag has the coating on the inside that allows me to wash by hand and get completely squeaky-grease-free clean when I need it for the meringue. Even after 4 years, this bag does NOT need replacing, I just wanted to treat myself to a brand new one :D Still has the grommet for the hanging hole which is so much better than a sewn-on loop which tears off eventually. Obviously, I would purchase again, as I just have!

**Q: How do you clean it?**
A: Just turn it inside out and clean it with soap and water.  Hang it up to dry.

**Q: Can I use this bag with the Ateco 14-Piece Cake Decorating Set?  Do I need a different coupler?  Thanks!**
A: Yes, you can use this bag with any size cake deorating tube with the proper coupler that fits the size of the tube.  I bought this to use the my 12 piece Ateco Large Pastry tube set with a 404 large coupler.  I love this item as it saves me from having to refill the bag as much.  Happy baking and decorating!

**Q: Will jam work?**
A: Yeah, jam will definitely work. I have used it for everything in my kitchen(I am a professional chef). If the jam is too thin, it may run out of the tip of the tip is too large

**Q: can ℓ̊ use ateco and. wilton extra large tips with this bag, also would a wilton large tip fit?**
A: The 18 inch fits the large tips. It won't fit my small ones the couple falls through. I am hoping this one works. One size does not fit all. Kne for cupcakes, large decorations and piping cookies and , detailed work.
