Our Make it Yourself Pet Perennials Kit is a healing activity for families and a favorite among pet loving gardeners. Enclosed with the gift bundle is a sympathy card in either a dog or cat design. Card reads, "Find the seed at the bottom of your heart and bring forth a flower." Each kit is wrapped in colorful tissue.
- Easy to make and simple to grow, a healing activity for pet parents of all ages and especially for families with young children. Pet loss is often the first experience children have with death, and the activity offers a way to have a meaningful conversation about loss and the cycle of life. The crafting process takes on average 15 - 30 minutes. Dry time of 24 hours - recommended before sowing wafers for ease of handling.
- Do-it-yourself craft kit includes a nutrient rich soil matrix, a selection of perennial wildflower seeds and all the required crafting tools - along with directions for making and sowing. Each kit makes 12 to 14 seed wafers in the shape of hearts and paws. A small portion of a pet's cremation remains may be added to the soil matrix during the process if desired. NOT required.
- Creates a rainbow of perennial wildflowers that help the environment by attracting butterflies, honey bees, and hummingbirds. All resulting flowers are pet safe. Each wafer sows a one-foot square area of soil.
