It sweetens hot tea wonderfully, and it doesn't sugar as fast as most raw honeys, which is plus to me. ### ⭐⭐⭐⭐ Where it’s from is important *by P***S on March 29, 2018* As with coffee, chocolates, teas and so many other things I am not very brand loyal. I’m always searching for new flavors and the elusive quest for the best. So it is with honey, a product that can range from pure ecstasy to barely palatable. You can’t trust ads or anyone else’s opinions on honey, you have to try it for yourself. So this is another random selection I made just to see what it’s like. And it’s pretty good. Unfortunately it doesn’t stand out as being superior in any way though Note that when they make the claim of being USDA certified organic there are no standards for USDA certified organic honey. They do not exist. There seems to be a lot of discussion in honey circles about that and why so much of our honey today is not from the U.S. but rather places like India and Brazil. I was not aware that this product is from Brazil (the info is there in the small print and played down on the product’s label) and I’m not sure if I would have chosen it or not if I knew. Honey lovers usually agree the best honey is directly from local producers. TRIVIA After you’ve read all the claims about which honey is the “best” there is one honey that is rarely included on any lists and that is because the honey itself is so rare it is almost never found for sale outside of the small village where it’s produced. It’s called Baskir honey and if you could buy it it would be the world’s most expensive. I have a friend who has sampled it at the source where it is hand produced in small batches only once a year and while I’ve never tasted it I understand it is indescribably delicious.
