As with all of our furniture it's sanded smooth with no rough edges. Please see the product images for dimensions, width will be as per your selection. You can choose whether to have a plywood back included or not. This is recessed so the back of the unit is flat, and screwed in place, not tacked, so it won't come off when shoes are pushed against it.
