I normally rely on cramming my phone, keys, and card / cash into the one available pocket in my hiking shorts, but the pocket swings around awkwardly and my things inevitably fall out of it. This belt, on the other hand, holds me and my things pretty securely.I use this belt primarily for hiking, so I haven't taken it running yet.
