These are excellent mixing bowls.  I use them for weighing dry ingredients and then adding them to the bowl of an electric mixer.  They're lightweight, with an effective and well-designed pouring spout.  Best of all, there's a notch that can rest on the edge of the electric mixer bowl for easy pouring.Perhaps not the most essential item in my cupboard, but perfect for what I use them for.  And the purple color is attractive.

I do like these mixing bowls, but the cup measurements inside the bowl are the same color as the bowl and very difficult to read. The  company really need to correct this as measuring is very important in cooking.  I also purchased the small cup set which has the measurement on the handles making it easy to read

It's quite difficult to read the markings for measurements.  The bowls DO make pouring while mixing much simpler.
