I did deduct one star given the clear coating on the fry. This coating gives the fry somewhat of a off taste. The best fry's I have bought so far are the Cavendish Farms without the Clear Coat. My sense tells me the coating is actually added as a way to add weight to the fry. This makes sense from a financial point of view given fry's are sold by the pound. The clear coating does not enhance the flavor in any way. It actually changes the flavor from a clean pure potato flavor too an off tasting flavor.
