## Description

Soft grip handles make this tool comfortable to use and manipulate. As an anvil pruner, they are more suited for dead and dried out plants compared to a bypass pruner, which is better for cuts that affect the health of a plant and are generally used on live plant material. The anvil pruner tends to crush plant material, but are extremely effective at preparatory cuts and thinning brush. These pruners extend from 63 to 95cm long, making it easy to cut back tall shrubs and trees without over-reaching or the need for a ladder. The length of the handles can be adjusted independently simply by twisting the tubular handles. The compound action, combined with the telescopic handles increase the cutting force of these pruners. They also have serrations on the anvil which enable the pruners to hold a branch firmly as the blade closes on it. The anvil is approximately 16cm and adjustable. After use it is advisable to clean debris from the blades using a drop of white spirit on a rag, then apply some WD-40 to prevent rusting and prolong the life of your pruners.
