They are affordable and provide excellent coverage. I have long arms and the thumbhole are a little tight, but I mostly don't use that feature. I've taken to wearing these every day year round. In the summer they provide relatively cool sun protection. And in the winter they make a great baselayer. They probably aren't the coolest shirt in the summer, but they aren't bad. Not as good as light cotton or silk, but then you aren't getting SPF protection. The fabric is fairly thin. On hot humid days, it can get sticky, but I don't think any worse than anything else you'd wear for sun protection. The quality has been decent. I've had no signicant wear issues. I tend to wash them on gentle and in cold water. The only downside, is that they can build up some of that synthetic "stink". The sizing runs small. In the US, I usually wear a men's medium, but with these shirts I order a large and they fit perfectly... and for me that is slightly loose. I could probably wear a Medium for a tighter more skin tight fit, but I'm sure the sleeves would be a bit short for my long arms and I wouldn't want skin tight in hot weather. Overall, I love them.
