No alarm!! It sure won't help me if something were to happen!! Cannot depend on this item!!Haven't had to use it. I'm not as happy with its design as one I bought many years ago. I think the reinsurance pin on a cord is too convenient for the attacker to plug it back in. I don't think there's enough time to think about tossing the cord away from you during an attack. So, unless you are actually practicing for an attack, I think it's not great. But, having said all that, it sure beats not having anything.
