Rotorazer saw, hand circular saw, with 3 blades each, material performance, 400W.

I am sure the Rotorazor is a decent enough tool but can anyone tell it's true capabilities or limitations from the advert? I wanted to cut floor boarding but how deep will the tool cut? When I received it I found it actually has a maximum depth of 1/2 inch or 12mm - but it doesn't state that fact. In the picture the blades look quite big alongside the tool and the carrying box - and similar to others available in the high street, but they are really quite tiny. And that is my main problem, the facts are not clear.The manual insists you read through carefully and states the product should be plugged into a wall socket. It is fitted with a 2-pin European plug - and comes with a travel adapter! I was uncomfortable with that.My floors are 3/4 inch boards so this product was not suitable so I decided to return the tool for a refund. No problems there but the supplier's return address label showed Lille in France. They have no UK return address. Amazon added £4 for p&p on purchase and other competitors charge £9.95 so I was surprised to learn their suggested carrier, the Post Office, quote £22 for basic delivery and £45 for the tracked option. That could be over 50% of the cost price. On-line competitors will quote about £17 but a UK address would be about £12 for this 6kg box!That's why I say, "only half the story".
