This wasn't the case.The probe isn't correctly sealed onto the wire which would allow for water to enter into the wire which in my opinion isn't safe combined with water. This is a temp reader for dry conditions. Be it a vivarium or general room temp reader.The actual temp reader looks very cheaply made. The battery case is very tricky to get open without feeling your going to break the very fine thin piece of plastic covering it. The reading itself is even a few degrees in or out.
