Kay Bojesen was a Danish designer who loved wood and, in the 1930s he started to design wooden figures, starting with a dog and adding to the collection over two decades until by the 1950s he had created a diverse family of animals including a monkey, hippopotamus (used as a pencil holder by the designer) and bear. His aim was to create something that would feel good to hold and be a playful representation of the animal rather than an exact match.The elephant has moveable head, trunk and legs so can be posed in various positions. The wood is nicely turned, smooth and interesting.In line with all Kay Bojesen figures, the elephant arrives nestled within shredded paper and beautifully gift boxed, with care instructions warning to keep him out of direct sunlight and away from heat sources.A delightful gift for children and adults alike and something that just makes people smile.

Bello ma ….
L’articolo e’ ben fatto assemblato con maestria ed il disegno a mio parere è veramente bello.Il motivo per cui do 4 stelle è che non fatto in Danimarca come pensavo , visto anche il costo non propriamente economico.Mi sono letteralmente fatto ‘ingannare’ dai video del produttore in cui un omino non certo dalle linea asiatiche assembla i vari pezzi :)Comunque alla fine si paga il disegno, l’idea non certo chi lo fa.

Kaufempfehlung für Kay Bojesen-Liebhaber
Sehr gut verarbeitet. Die Gelenke sind angemessen beweglich. Schönes Holz, allerdings stellenweise noch etwas rauh. Macht einen stabilen und hochwertigen Eindruck. Wirkt auch etwas größer als ich erwartet hatte, ws ich persönlich gut finde. Aus meiner Sicht für Fans von Kay Bojesen absolut empfehlenswert.

Schön anzuschauen
Der Elefant ist sehr schön, nur leider musste ich ihn zweimal bestellen da beim ersten immer die Beine von selbst abgefallen sind. Die Beine sind nur mit Dübeln gesteckt, anscheinend waren die Bohrlöcher einen Tick zu groß und deshalb haben sie nicht gehalten. Der zweite ist in Ordnung, steht da und macht Freude.

Der weiße Elefant
Nicht geölt. Wird beim Einölen dunkler, Holz war vorher sehr weißlich. Kopf steckt nur auf, sitzt nicht richtig fest. Beine unterschiedlich fest verbaut. Sonst ok übertraf aber nicht Erwartungen.
