I wore them around the house for a day and was surprised at how comfy they were. We did about 4-5 miles on a hike and I was pleasantly surprised. They were sturdy and grippy and I felt safe on the wet rocks and slippery spots. My feet hurt at the end of the day but I’m pretty sure it had more to do with a hard hike. I mostly wear sneakers and they weren’t as comfortable as that but great nonetheless. I’m usually a 9 1/2 or 10 and got the 10 to make sure I had enough room with socks and the size was perfect.
