**Q: Why does a box of cake mix cost $12.45?? This has to be the most expensive cake I’ve ever seen**
A: That's a good question and here is the breakdown.  The cost of the item is $5.99, Amazon charges approx. $3.30 to sell it on their site and shipping (at a discount) costs us 7.55 for a total of $16.64, this doesn't include the cost of help, packaging or overhead.  If you are able to purchase it locally, that is the way to go, if not12.45 is about as low as you'll ever see this particular type of cake.  Based on your question, there are other types of cake that may be better suited to what you are looking for than this one.  Mahalo for asking!

A: Not like a brownie. However if you are a texture eater and you don’t like the feel of the  rice texture then you may not like it.   I happen to love mochi and love this product. Just a little expensive.

A: The first ingredient listed on the back is Sweet Rice Flour.  That is the only flour listed.
