The benefits of this oil for African, coily, hair are incredible. No need to wash it out like many instructions tell us. That's not for us unless you are specifically trying to use it as a prepoo. But at this price, I'm not washing NUTHIN out! I use it like a hair grease for my scalp then i take some between my palms and do the praying hands method down the length of my hair. Then I use either flaxseed gel that i make or a natural gel like kinky curly on top and twist my hair up and pin away my ends. When i tell you this stuff keeps your hair so soft and moisturized! Used this about 2 weeks and on my wash day my roots had already thickened and next to no tangles or single stand knots i normally struggle with. This is the goat for length retention. It literally makes hair feel completely different than any other oil. I've moved on to buying the 16oz tub from RA Cosmetics because I can tell I'll be using it long term and this jar is just too small for thick hair. Just get it and don't whine about the smell. If it's that bad to you, add a few drops of lavender oil and keep it pushin.
