I have chronic chapped lips, nothing was helping, they were getting worse and worse. After some research, I bought three products to test...Aquaphor, L’Occitane and Pedison Nutritive. Hands down this one is the best of the three. My lips are about 80% better since using this. It feels light, almost too light, I thought I’d have to reapply it too often. But it does such a good job, I don’t need to be putting something on my lips every hour or so like I used to (and I still had horribly painful chapped lips). The scent is mild, no weird taste in my mouth. I still have dry lips, but they aren’t cracked and flaky like they used to be.

There is a lot of conflicting information on the Internet for the best lip balm ingredients for chapped lips. I decided to use WebMD's guidance which says to look for petrolatum and dimethicone, and to avoid eucalyptus, menthol, and camphor. As of this writing this is the only lip balm on Amazon which fully follows this guidance. I've been using Chapstick and Carmex for three weeks without my chapped lips improving, and one afternoon with Pedison Nutritive Infusion and my lips have healed.

This will last me a while because all you need is a little dot to cover your lips and I have not lips. It's not greasy or sticky. I put a little on before bed and I wake up with really soft lips. It's so moisturizing that I find myself reapplying twice a day. That's all I need.

With a combination of dehydration and severe blustery weather, my lips were extremely dry and scaling. No other over the counter lip product brought relief. I ordered this item, needing healing due to cracks and some bleeding. After applying, this product actually allowed my skin to stay moist enough to begin to heal. The cracking subsided and after weeks, the tenderness left. I significantly increased my water intake as well. I don’t believe the healing would have been complete but without this.

We live in an extremely dry climate in Colorado. I have tried so many remedies for chapped lips and this is the only product that isn't just wax based. Within a week chapped lips were gone for good. I am giving this to everyone I know as a Christmas gift.

Ingredients are listed in order of concentration. The first ingredients listed are what make up the majority of a product with the last ingredients having the lowest concentration.The ceramides in this balm are one of the last ingredients meaning they are the lowest concentration. I was looking for a cheaper alternative to TrueLipids lip balm which works wonders but is $10 a tube. This being $5 I thought it would be worth a shot. It doesn't do much more than plain old Vaseline though. My lips quickly became dry and started peeling again when I switched from TrueLipids to this balm. I ended up switching back. This is mostly just mineral oil and petroleum. The ceramides are the special ingredient that heals sensitive lip skin. I just don't think the concentration of ceramides is high enough to do much. I'm sorry I'm not able to recommend this product because I DO like the price and you get quite a bit for $5. I can't recommend it though because it just didn't work for me. If you are looking for a great ceramide balm try TrueLipids or any other balm with the ceramides listed higher up on the ingredients list.

Greatest chapstick I have ever used. Cured my severely chapped lips after one use it is like magic!

It doesn’t seem to moisturize lips very well and I find myself reapplying it often. I thought the ceramides would improve moisture retention over time, but no such luck. This product turned out to be very average for me.
