One, it acts as a sunblock so that no sunlight leaks in from the sides, and it helps keep your focus on where it should be...on the water, in my case anyway. The cleaning cloth is a nice, though not really necessary, bonus. And with the huge disparity in prices for sun glasses this pair should fit nicely into most anyone's budget. The polarizing lenses are a must as they allow me to see the fish better and, perhaps more importantly, also see the river bed better so I don't make a bad misstep.
