If you’re looking for something that tastes exactly like honey, then maybe not. Have you ever had boiled cider? The flavor of this is like if you took boiled cider and added sugar. It has a tangy apple flavor with a browned, almost caramelly undertone. It’s sweet, but far less sweet than honey. Since I love sweet, I end up using a lot more of this than I would honey in tea. I wish they sold this in a bigger thing. But straight out of the container onto my finger, the flavor is just so yummy. I’ve only used it for tea so far, but I think it would shine on top of anything. I think it would be amazing to use this for baklava!! 😍

A: Yes, on the bottle it reads: 
 Organic apple juice, Organic sugar cane and organic lemon juice.

**Q: What is the shelf life?**
A: Don’t have an official answer. But we had ours opened and was using it for close to four months with no deterioration of the product.

**Q: Is the plastic bottle BPA free?**
A: Yes.

**Q: Is this pasteurized?**
A: In response to the other answer that states that you don’t need to pasteurize a made-from-apples product because “it’s not an animal product”: I direct you to the Odwalla apple juice E. coli outbreak and subsequent lawsuit. And yes, Odwalla now pasteurizes their apple juice.

I LOVE this. If you love Apple like I do, you’ll love it too. If you’re looking for something that tastes exactly like honey, then maybe not. Have you ever had boiled cider? The flavor of this is like if you took boiled cider and added sugar. It has a tangy apple flavor with a browned, almost caramelly undertone. It’s sweet, but far less sweet than honey. Since I love sweet, I end up using a lot more of this than I would honey in tea. I wish they sold this in a bigger thing. But straight out of the container onto my finger, the flavor is just so yummy. I’ve only used it for tea so far, but I think it would shine on top of anything. I think it would be amazing to use this for baklava!! 😍

As a vegan, I chose not to eat honey, although I won't make it an issue if someone offers me something that has honey in it (so many items, and for no real reason). This is a very sweet and flavorful alternative, but it in no way tastes close to honey, so if it's the flavor your looking for, this is not for you. It is wonderful on toast and biscuits, not so much in tea. Tastes like a very sweet apple butter. I do like it, and as a sweetener I prefer it to agave. But reducing sugar use would be the ultimate goal no matter the source.
