Review: Stunning visuals, a plethora of ports, but with a few idiosyncrasies that keep things… interesting. - This is a long term review of the Spectrum One 27” 4k monitor that I have been using - First off, the display quality is like a punch to the eyeballs—in a good way. Colors are so vivid that I half-expected a unicorn to prance across the screen. The 4K resolution combined with the glossy finish makes everything pop; it’s like my old monitor was a potato, and this one’s a golden, crispy French fry. Now, about that glossy Gorilla Glass. It’s sleek and makes the visuals sharper than my grandma’s tongue at Thanksgiving dinner. But beware: it also reflects everything. I caught a glimpse of my own reflection mid-game and nearly had a heart attack, thinking an NPC had broken the fourth wall. Ports galore! This thing’s got more connections than a social butterfly at a networking event. HDMI, DisplayPort, USB-C—you name it. I felt like a kid in a candy store, plugging in all my gadgets. But, and it’s a big but (like, “ate too many donuts” big), the monitor has its quirks. Sometimes, when it wakes from sleep mode, it takes its sweet time, like it’s stretching and yawning before showing me the desktop. And don’t get me started on the occasional black screen when switching resolutions. It’s like the monitor’s playing a prank, and I’m not laughing. Also, a word to the wise: skip the official stand. It’s pricier than a gourmet latte, and you can find a decent VESA stand for a fraction of the cost. I got one for twenty bucks, and it holds up the monitor like a champ. In conclusion, the Dough Spectrum One is like that eccentric friend who’s a blast to hang out with but occasionally leaves you scratching your head. Stunning visuals, a plethora of ports, but with a few idiosyncrasies that keep things… interesting. If you’re up for the adventure and don’t mind the occasional hiccup, give it a whirl. Oh, and if you want a deep dive into its quirks, check out this honest review
Review: 4K Glossy 144Hz Monitor Cannot Be Found For This Price But Beware of Dough (Eve) - I got this monitor back in mid August and wanted to write a long-term review about it because there's a lot of people out there who are iffy on buying a monitor from Dough or Eve (however you want to call it) which is totally understandable. You cannot find a monitor for this price that comes in a glossy display, 100W USB-C charging, a full USB hub, 4K and a high refresh rate for this price. For a Windows PC, finding a glossy monitor with these specs is unheard of. For me, I have a MacBook Pro and this is essentially a Studio Display for almost ⅓ the cost. The colors are sharp and scrolling through sites is so smooth and gives me the ProMotion like feel on a display. The downsides are it does take a while for the monitor to connect to the device when plugging in and sometimes it won't show a computer is connected when connecting my Mac in clamshell so I need to open it up every so often so it displays. I've heard their support and updating the firmware is a bit tricky but I've never had any experience with that myself. Overall, it's an amazing monitor for the price for what you get and if you have a lot of devices, but if you're unsure of the brand or the support, I'd stay away and go with a more reputable brand such as ASUS or Dell

## Features

- Stunning Visuals: The 27" IPS panel is factory calibrated for a Delta E 0.6 average accuracy, delivering 1.07 billion colors that cover 98% of the DCI-P3 and 100% of the sRGB gamut. HDR10 support with a 10 million:1 dynamic contrast ratio enhances photos and videos with lifelike highlights and deep shadows. Designed for anything and everything.
- Adaptive Sync Technology: Support for AMD FreeSync Premium Pro technology with NVIDIA G-Sync and VESA Adaptive-Sync compatibility enables the monitor to dynamically adjust its refresh rate to the frame rate being output by the graphics card, thereby greatly reducing screen tearing, stuttering, and other artifacts.
- High-Speed Ports: Two HDMI 2.1 ports are available alongside one DisplayPort 1.4 input for high-bandwidth connections to compatible devices. This display can display video from two separate sources in split screen mode. The integrated USB 3.2 Gen 2 hub includes two side-facing USB-A and one USB-C port, each of which supports up to 10 Gb/s transfers with compatible devices. Plug a pair of headphones into the 3.5mm audio jack for listening privacy.
- Single Cable Connection: Reduce desktop clutter by connecting your compatible laptop to the USB-C 3.2 Gen 2 port, which lets you transfer video, data, and up to 100W of power over a single cable.
- Gaming Features: Pixel-perfect upscaling uses integer-ratio pixel duplication for low-resolution input signals to maintain the look of pixel art and keep retro games looking crisp. A crosshair overlay assists your aim and gives a competitive advantage. A Frame rate counter overlay shows you how well your system is performing. Presets tuned by Blur Busters offer strong performance straight out of the box.

### ⭐⭐⭐ Very dim
*by A***R on August 5, 2025*

It’s dim, it’s missing any additional cables, and it just doesn’t hit the way that I thought it would at 4k. I got better brightness out of my Razer 27 in monitor.
