As a casual badminton player with my family, I am concerned mostly with the rackets, and these are pretty high quality. I do not use the net, so other people's concern about the net being a flimsy build could concern me less. The birdies provided are may not be world class quality but are pretty decent and durable. I have been using the first birdie of three that came with this set and it is still in playable condition despite having whacked this hundreds of times already. Another big pro for this set is the carry case for the kit. It is a nice red bag that we use to carry the racket and other needed items to our neighborhood park.
