Liqui Moly's Hydraulic Lifter Additive damps the noise produced by worn hydraulic lifters. Cleans valves and holes in the lifter and promotes optimum operation. Liquid Moly's Hydraulic Lifter Additive can be mixed with all commercially available engine oils. 300 ml is sufficient for up to 6 liters (6.34 quarts) of engine oil.

The car had been stored for about three years and would not start due to sticky valves and hydraulic lifters. I applied one bottle along with an oil and filter change, turned the engine over manually for about 5 minutes until I could feel the engine running smoothly and no more snapping valves and springs. At that point it started right up running completely smooth and silent.

**Q: Does liqui moly hydraulic lifter additive work?**
A: It works very well.However, the effect does not last long.Roughly 3,000 miles.

**Q: Whats the consistency, is it thick like lucas stabilizer or more watery like marvell mystrery oil?**
A: As I remember, I would say thicker than Marvel. But not very thick. Also, I'll add that it didn't quite my valve train down any.

**Q: any benifit to putting 2 cans in at one time?**
A: OK I put 2 cans in my Ferrari it holds 12 quarts it quiets the lifters very well.  I put 1 and half cans in My Mercedes it holds about 9 quarts.  It does very well in the Mercedes I have a little lifter tick. I have a Dodge Diesel Pickup it holds about 10 quarts quarts I use one can for that.  I use other Liqui Moly products and my vehicles.  The instructions say use one can for 6.3 quarts using more that then recommended mix is not suggested.  I would get some Liqui Moly products like the engine Flush.  I suggest you flush the engine very well get rid of the sludge and the oil passage ways and add the correct Mix you will have good results.  It makes my tick go away in my Mercedes and Quiets my other cars very nicely. Two cans my be be over kill if your car has a little oil tank.  Hope this helps.

**Q: Anyone use this in their hemi for lifter noise at start up?**
A: Recent Hemi 5.7 v8s that have the feature that shuts off 4 cylinders at idle have a known issue with their lifters getting stuck and the stuck lifters causing cam wear. My wife just spent 5k to replace the cam and lifters on her 2011 Jeep Grand Cherokee Summit v8. If you have this engine and are experiencing lifter noise, it’s time to sell the car or spend $$$$ to fix your engine.

I have seen the videos of this stuff instantly stopping lifter noises like most people looking into this product. However, it make the lifter noises less but didn’t eliminate all together. I added during an oil change on my wife’s 2012 GLK350 (128,000 miles on the car) She takes a trip once or twice a month that’s 52 miles one way. Usually when this takes place you can literally watch the gas gauge drop diving down the interstate. She was getting around 16-18 mpg and would fill up before she left and on her way back. After oil change and adding this she made her trip both ways and came back with over a quarter of a tank without stopping and filling up again. I was beyond impressed. I checked the read out on the computer when she told me and it was back to getting 21 mpg. Will definitely endorse and order again. This definitely solved a problem that I couldn’t see.
