The pictures are bright and clear and there are lots of fun facts and information about each. I love the maps showing the distribution of each species, which is great for a visual learner like myself. I am learning alot from this book along with my daughter. It is definitely on par of any National Geographic magazine. Great colors and layout create an interest in watching and learning about common birds. The organization of the book is based on the general habitat of birds including such interesting areas like parks, fields and etc. Whether the book reader is in the country or city it provides the common locations birds would habitat.
