Special Features: Black 140 gram Vinyl (2xLP) + VHS Insert (Artwork by James White) + Download Card. Far Cry 3: Blood Dragon Original Game Soundtrack by Power Glove was originally released on Record Store Day 2014 on double pink vinyl, and sold out instantly. Many fans missed the chance at grabbing this phenomenal soundtrack. After lots of consultation with all involved (as so many missed out), it was decided to do a second version of this incredible score. Invada have been given permission to release this soundtrack on double black 140 gram vinyl (unlike the Record Store Day 2014 pink vinyl). Far Cry 3: Blood Dragon is the critically acclaimed game from Ubisoft Montreal, with over one million copies sold worldwide and the winner of multiple awards including Spike TVs Best Downloadable Game 2013. The music for the video game, a first-person shooter set on a tropical island, was composed by Australian duo Power Glove, who craftily bill themselves as two lawyers sent back from the streets of future, post-apocalyptic Los Angeles 2043. With a touch of romance and a ton of trouble, we're gonna get there... any way we can. Game developers Ubisoft say the soundtrack mirrors the game's vision of a nostalgia-drenched journey into the world of VHS-inspired dystopian futures. That just about nails the retro-futurist vibe of the music, which also recalls Barrow's excellent Drokk project from 2012, an imagined soundtrack to Judge Dredd. Unlike the Record Store Day 2014 release, this release comes on black 140 gram vinyl and doesn't include the exclusive poster. The release still comes with the VHS insert and download card.

Awesome soundtrack to an Awesome Game
I loved Blood Dragon. But the music from the game is what actually made it feel even better. It has that 80's synth and electronic feel to it, along with a nice beat in the background which feels like it may have been stripped right out of the Terminator theme. I instantly was drawn to Power Glove after listening to it, an I admit I love rock and I don't even like electronic music, and have come to actually dislike most of it. But this album is what sealed the deal. Unfortunately, soundtrack is selected music and doesn't have the tracks such as Hunters or Hostage Rescue. However, it's still awesome and worth checking out. If you liked this, I suggest checking out the songs Streets of 2043 and Night Force by Power Glove, found on the their album EP 1.

Epic soundtrack to just a videogame?
I love soundtracks, Love to workout to soundtracks, love to play videogames to soundtracks. This soundtrack is a great soundtrack if you love 80's like the terminator or rocky 4 (when he works out in the snow) sounding music. Some amazing sounds. This soundtrack is right up there with the new Deuce Ex games soundtrack. Except for like 3 songs you would think this is from a movie. Most songs move along quite well and get a good emotional feel. I would recommend this to anyone looking for 80's epic sounding songs or anyone who is into electronica music. Just the Blood dragon Theme alone is almost worth the whole cd. Very good.

part 80's, part modern, ALL AWESOME
Ever hear of the old adage "Old is new?" Such is the case for Far Cry 3 Blood Dragon (FC3BD). A video game that is a blatant throwback to all things 80's. I'm going to skip the game because you wouldn't be here if you haven't heard anything else about the game (and likely the only things you heard were "stupid awesome hilarious fun"). If you've grown up on Terminator, Scarface, Top Gun, Robocop, et cetera, then this soundtrack is also for you. You hear themes that totally feel like they were from these and more 80's classics. Honestly, wanting to give a fresh sense of the old days is nothing short of an inspiring move and it pays off. Plus, this music is awesome driving music (I haven't had a fitting driving album to listen to since TRON: Legacy). I have nothing but praise to a video game soundtrack that boldly throws away traditional styles and tries something unique. That being said, by now you've read this review coming in because of FC3BD, and this is as awesome as the game. Even if you don't get the game it's total ear candy.

Dark Decadence
Far Cry 3: Blood Dragon, the game, was a surprise that came out of the blue, but not many of the kudos tossed its way are directed at the game's killer soundtrack. The Power Glove-scored O.S.T.is a dark take on '80s-era synth music that recalls Terminator, Miami Vice, and other decade-of-decadence darlings. I purchased the Blood Dragon vinyl, but it came with a code to download the MP3 album free of charge...best of both worlds!

A fantastic throw back
Just the like the game design, the scoring of Blood Dragon just oozes with nostalgia. Purposely riffing the audio from the action films the game so endearingly emulates, the music puts the player in a wonderful mood and mindset to go f*** up some dude bro robots. It only took a few seconds of hearing the title sequence in the front end menu to sell me on this product.

Aw yiss
Great package. Not only do you get the vinyl but you also get a digital download code where you can get uncompressed. The cover is fantastic and makes for great wall art. The records were in perfect condition.

Nostalgic and inventive fun!
Takes me back to the B-grade scifi movies and Nintendo games of the 80s. It's like the audio lovechild of Airwolf, Knight Rider, Terminator, Contra (NES game) and Escape From New York. Overflowing with hard-driving and sly power synths. You will be calling Roger Corman in a matter of minutes to make your own cyborg movie and hire these dudes to provide the soundtrack!

Some standout tracks, but most are suited for adding atmosphere to the gameplay
I really enjoyed Blood Dragon, and its soundtrack especially. While all of the tunes here add something to the game, only a couple standout to me. Of these I'll mention Blood Dragon theme (very upbeat), Power Core (catchy), Combat II (very similar to a track from Terminator), and Blood Dragon theme reprise. While I enjoyed listening to the whole album, these are the tracks I come back to. If you liked the game and find yourself humming its tunes, go for the soundtrack.

Great Album.
There's 2 videogame soundtracks I absolutely adore one is Mirrors Edge and it's lucid chilled OST, the other is Blood Dragons fantastic retro 80's synth OST from Power Glove, I didn't know they had released Blood Dragon on CD so I snapped it up quick, I'm not dissapointed with my purchase, great album artwork and quality of the tracks is 10/10, love the album and recommend it to any fans of 80's synth music, just a shame Mirrors Edge doesnt have an audio CD release. One thing I will say is price wise this is a little expensive for an Audio CD, but as a collectors piece it's actually fairly priced, again I'm just judging the price stacked up against other CD albums you can buy for cheaper. Overall great buy.

Ace soundtrack, for any mood.
Amazing synth-based soundtrack, very reminiscent of bladrunner, and the terminator. Great for chilling out, driving, running; pretty much anything. I ordered the vinyl for my son as a present, and got a free MP3 download. Highly recommended. Try the game too; it's amazing.

Now you're playing with Power.
It's no pink RSD edition but it's got the same awesome John Carpenter, Brad Fiedel, etc. jams all the same! Sadly, it doesn't include 'Friends' by Dragon Sound from the Miami Connection soundtrack but it's still a great listen.
