I love the paper, and wish I could purchase it separately, but haven't seen anywhere that I can. The wooden box is nicely put together giving the set an elegant look. The finish of the dry color makes me think a bit of the Asian type of watercolor - sort of a satin finish which might surprise some people if they aren't used to that. The colors make a pretty standard palette, all three primaries, secondaries, and colors in both warm and cool range. No unusual colors and no metallics, neons, or shimmering of any kind. The set is a bit heavy for carry, though sturdy enough that I think it would hold up well.
