Review: LOVE this gate! - LOVE this gate! Very sturdy and well made. Definitely follow installation instructions and use the template supplied. We installed ours a little crooked because we thought we could just use a level. The self closure works great and if you want the gate to stay open just open it 90° and it stays until you move it. We needed it to keep our 65 lbs dog out of a room. Our granddaughter also bought one for the top of her stairway because of her toddlers. The "no bottom bar" or threshold was necessary for the top of a staircase. We needed no bottom bar because we're elderly and we're concerned about tripping. The gate is perfect!

We have three of these gates in our house and absolutely love them. They work perfectly in both a narrow doorway and a wider space, fitting each area securely. In the spots where we attached it to drywall, we added a small piece of wood behind the gate for extra stability. In other areas where we drilled directly into wood, it already feels super solid. I really like that it swings both directions and has a smooth, easy-to-use latch that clicks into place so you know it’s locked. You can open it with one hand, which is a lifesaver when carrying a baby or laundry. Sharing a quick video so you can see how it swings both ways — overall, highly recommend!
