日本のF1ファンからするとマクラーレンはMP4/4以前はあまり人気が無いように思えますが、アオシマさんはよく出してくれましたね～実際、MP4/2シリーズは８４、８５、８６と３シーズンに亘りチャンピオンマシンだったワケですからアイテム的には至極真っ当な選択と言えます。やはり、プロスト教授の不人気が災いしたのでしょうか？（笑）因みに自分はプロスト派でしたのでMP4/2の発売は本当にうれしいです。さて、このキット、早速ですがモノコックとボディカウルを仮組してみました。第一印象的には、意外なほどカッコ良い！分かりやすいスマートな格好良さとは違いますが、写真で見る鈍重な印象とは違い、レーシングマシンの色気を感じました。一瞬、ちょっと小さいかな？と感じましたが、タミヤのFW11と比較したところ寸法はそう変わりませんでした。タイヤなのですが、FW11と比べると？？？だったのですが、GYではなくミシュランだったんですね。良い雰囲気だと思います。足回りなどはまだ組んでいないのですが、アオシマ＆BEEMAXの一作目のF1としては非常に良く出来ていると思いました。設計者さんのセンスの良さでしょうか、ボディラインは格好良いですし、部品分割、ディテール表現等も良いと思います。このクオリティなら十分合格です。残念な部分としてはサイドポンツーンのサイドカウルに若干歪みがありました。これは手で曲げたらすぐに直りましたが、経年変化でまた曲がるかもしれないので金属板を貼る等、何らかの補強をした方が良いかもしれません。あと、インストをもう少し見易いものにして欲しいですね。追記Dのランナーに反りというか歪みがありました。リヤサスのプッシュロッドのパーツがその影響を受けて弓状に曲がっていました。軽く曲げて修正すれば治りましたが、あまり気持ちの良いものではありませんね。その他の部品は概ねOK。もう少しプラスチックに硬さがあっても良いかなあ～と思いました。
