I originally ordered a holder which only gripped the sides of my phone (Oneplus 3T with a chunky case on) but it wouldn't hold it with the case fitted.This Wofalo holder is completely different - the phone fits in just fine and as the phone puts weight onto the lower hook section it levers the sides in to grip the phone. I can still plug an aux cable in to connect the phone audio to the car radio (or 'entertainment system as they seem to be called these days) but the USB-C charging cable doesn't fit through the gap on the bottom of the J section. Not a problem for me as I am not doing long journeys at the moment.The holder fits on to the vent of my Vauxhall Insignia but doesn't quite push all the way in as there is a second set of fins behind the front ones. The holder still seems to be firmly attached though and hasn't fallen off on my daily travels over pot-holed country roads. The phone has stayed in position on the ball-mount but any firm pushing on the phone (e.g. to change volume) does make it move around a bit.Over all I'm happy with it so far.

I was sceptical about buying phone holders for the car as I feel they all would just fall off.I bought this is a “why not?” moment and this thing delivers. Very light weight and fresh design. The gravity mechanics are great and work well.The grip at the back is a lot stronger than I imagined. It is great fit on my BMW 1 series and grips amazingly, better than expected. It would take a lot of bumps to even come close to knocking it off.Great product for the price. Strong recommendation.

Fantastic car phone cradle, I'm actually using this right now and have been using it for a good few weeks since I bought it. It's actually grown on me. Initially I thought having to slide the phone out upwards would be annoying as I previously used the normal common sticky magnet holder, but after using this new one I'm still using it so it must be good! It's well designed, holds the phone (I'm using an s8) straight away and hasn't fallen or been misplaced once. Have to say this is worth a try to anyway who's phone goes flying under the brake pedal! Great product thanks for the innovative design!

This has to be the Best Mobile Phone holder we have ever had. Its so simple to use. We have Samsung phones and they just slot in and out without having to push sides open etc. Highly recommend.....

Great item. I hate the ones with the release button at the back. But this one is simple automatic release. Recommend

Too small for large phones or anything other than a very skinny case Also felt flimsy. Sent back for full refund from amazon.

Iv had this for 12 months now and it is completely screwed. It’s probably been screwed for the last 4 months. The ratchet on the clamps doesn’t work anymore and it keeps falling out of the heater grill. More of a pain than anything now.

It might just be my phone is too heavy (though it's not compared to many), but once installed it drops down so is pointing slightly downwards, still viewable but means the air vents are also pointing down at my knees rather than my face.
