And this three disc package contains the original game discs of each title. There's no budget markings on them to out them as re-releases. They literally appear to be the discs from the original releases slapped into one case. Though curiously the package does appear to be of North American origin. Still, it works fine today on a system from any region.Or at least it does provided you don't mind fiddling around with things to get the games working optimally. On my Windows 7 Home 64-Bit machine I needed to apply several .ini tweaks in addition to some Hex hacks to get various effects to work correctly and get custom resolution/aspect ratio support. The first two titles in particular, were made for 4:3 aspect ratios and will not run in widescreen without a little tampering.Likewise, controller support required using Xpadder to map commands to the back triggers of an Xbox 360 controller (I had Xpadder treat the triggers as keyboard button presses). The games are quite old so it is unsurprising that using an Xinput controller like the Xbox 360 controller is a little unwieldy.Of the three games the series' finale, Prince of Persia: The Two Thrones, is arguably the fastest to get working properly (with widescreen support out of the box) but not the easiest: At higher resolutions subtitle/tutorial text is pushed partially off screen thanks to some woeful UI scaling. To be honest you aren't missing much as the text explains actions you'll already be acquianted with from the previous two entries. In addition certain effects have to be disabled or turned down on Nvidia cards. It's much better to crank the resolution up for the crispest, most vibrant image you can get and just look the controls up online.WARNING: Users are advised to play the game V-Synced at 60fps. Those with high refresh rate panels, take note, you'll need to run your panel in 60 Hz mode AND V-Sync at the same time to avoid progress stalling physics bugs.That's an awful lot of effort just to get some old games working! But having also played the Prince of Persia Trilogy on the PlayStation 3 I can say the effort is worth it. In addition to being considerably smoother than the PS3 versions (owing to the PC versions running in 60fps) the PC versions are simply more vibrant thanks to the resolution boost over 720p. ### ⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐ 5.0 out of 5 stars Just love Prince of Persa series trilogy *by A***D on Reviewed in the United Kingdom on 11 November 2013* Have played these games on the xbox 360 and thoroughly loved playing them.
