## Description

VYAIR PTC series cartridges are manufactured from a special formulation of pleated cellulose media and durable, non-woven, reusable polyester fabric and are suitable for a wide range of general water filtration purposes. This unique blend of materials provides a higher wet strength than regular cellulose cartridges. It also provides high flow rates and dirt-holding capacity while maintaining extremely low pressure drop.  The media is pleated around a polypropylene core for added strength. The pleated end-caps of the Big Blue cartridges are immersed in a thermo-setting vinyl plastisol. The Big Blue cartridges have a moulded end-cap with gaskets. The pleated ends are sealed to the end-cap with a thermoplastic adhesive. The overlap seam is sonically welded to reduce internal bypass, improving filtration efficiency. PTC series cartridges are available in a variety of micron ratings: 1 micron, 5 micron, 10 micron, 20 micron and 50 micron. PTC series cartridges contain more media surface area than most competitive cartridges.  The Big Blue 10" PTC cartridge has over 16 square feet of polyester fabric media, while similar water filter cartridges contain significantly less. The media is pleated to maximize dirt holding capacity and extend the time period between changes or cleaning.  PTC series cartridges are economically priced and highly effective at reducing sediment particles. PTC series cartridges are also resistant to both bacteria and chemical attack, making them suitable for a variety of residential, commercial and industrial applications.
