There are several things I like about it--Large Readout that is backlit for low light-Great repeatability (same temperature over and over)-Easy to take your own temperature (beep and vibration lets you know there is a measurement)-Simple operation (push the single button and hold it up near the the forehead)The super plus that really makes this standout is the hard plastic case that comes with the product. Not a bag or soft shell case but hard, durable, protective plastic case with a latch.There is also a quiet mode that I probably will never use.This only negative I would offer is that it can be challenging to change from a Celsius measurement to using a Fahrenheit measurement. That was somewhat complicated.
