A: It only requires a small amount.  I just sprinkle the required amount on top and weave my fingers over the soil.  That's it.  It is said it also serves as a deterrent to rodents and small animals like rabbits. Happy Gardening.

A: y square footage, 2-3 pounds of Down To Earth Blood Meal 12-0-0 will cover 100 square feet, so a 50 lb bag would be appropriate for 1650- 2500 square feet. By volume, 1-2 teaspoons of Blood Meal can be used per gallon of soil, and there are roughly 3000 teaspoons in a 50 lb bag. **Q: Can I put this in my lawn?  Will it keep the rabbits out?**
A: I've had excellent luck keeping rabbits and deer out of my garden with blood meal. Haven't used this brand yet, but see no reason why it wouldn't work.
