I tried adding a teaspoon of Locco cocoa to my bowl of homemade breakfast mix (sorghum, nuts, seeds, berries) and was very happy with the result. It added a subtle but distinctive cocoa flavour.

This product barely tastes like hot chocolate. I get that it's made to be low fat, low sugar, low calorie - but it's sadly also low taste. The chocolate flavour is very weak, but it has a strange overall taste which I feel is down to the mixture of sweeteners and guarana. I can accept guarana making the product a bit bitter, but the overall taste profile of this lo-cal product is disappointing.It's not a completely inedible product, as it's perfectly fine to add it to other foods rather than consuming it as a hot chocolate. It was fine sprinkled on breakfast cereal, and I dare say it's probably okay used in baking where you want something 'chocolatey' without adding the calories. As a beverage, I'd say look elsewhere. 3*
