Needed a new one and the dealer is back ordered with NO ETA. So, I decided to try this out even though I was skeptical about an aftermarket diff that was a fraction of the cost of a GM part. Well, I.ve driven over 5K with this diff and it has been perfect! It has been wisper quiet, the gear ratio (2.85) is a match so the fuel economy is the same (excellent). I decided this afternoon to change the fluid in it just to check and get the break-in oil out of it and put fresh oil in. The fluid looked fine and just a little very fine particles on the magnet from break in, which is normal. Definitely a great substitute for the factory unit and you save $2300 !! If you Cadillac is down and waiting for a factory differential to come in, I'd scrap that idea and get one of these units.
