A number of photo's were spoiled when part of the lens hood was visible in the pictures due to the hood unscrewing itself. It's not a tight fit.Other than the loose fit, the material it is made from seems to be close to the quality of the official one, a stiff plastic - not rubber, so it won't deform in the bag.The fit on the lens is not secure. I used a piece of paper wedged in the ring to keep it from moving but that's not ideal as I need to remove it each time to fit back in my camera bag.I can't be too critical of this lens hood as you really get what you pay for.
