As others have mentioned the size runs a little small. I ordered 34 waist and 29 leg, they did fit mainly due to the small section of elastic in the waistband. I have decided to keep them and ordered a size up...36W 29L, these fit better but need a belt to ensure they stay around my waist and not my ankles My job does not involve any heavy duty work so these are more than adequate, for those working in construction then I fear these would be too thin for that environment I found it extremely difficult to get a pair of these style trousers in the past as the legs were always 32inches long which meant the thigh/knee pockets were more like calf/ankle pockets. As to the pockets....there are multiple pockets for a variety of uses, the traditional front pockets are actually doubled, one traditional and one zippered. The rear pockets have a strong velcro fastening as do the leg pockets. As an MHE/Plant instructor I don't believe I will need to use the knee pad pockets, but the option is there. They look smart, the quality is good and the material is not heavy duty and will not offer much in insulation.
