We only packed carryons with us, so we needed something lightweight that was easily portable. My 10 and 7 year old wore them in Ketchikan and they stayed nice and dry. You can see from the video that the jackets are a great length and fit over their coats and backpacks. The sleeves were a bit short on my 10 year old, but she is quite tall for her age.
