Stranded wire is all I use for my strip lights. It is more flexible and easy to work with. This wire is also available in stranded and will work just fine. If you want something that would be better, RGBZONE has ribbon cable that makes it SO much easier, and it looks more professional. I’m not sure how many wires you need, but the product in the link below comes in 3 or 4-wire strips. They also have several other products that might be handy for your installation (right angle connectors etc).
